Why we're building this

With podchat, we're expanding what a podcast can be. The audio recording becomes the foundation for a responsive experience, carrying the show's context and point of view into a conversation, and following each listener's curiosity. An idea can be pursued the moment it arises, within the environment established by the creator.

Nobody understands a show better than the people who make them. Our tools will let producers decide what the experience itself can understand, how it behaves, where its boundaries lie, and how much influence the audience has. They will experiment to discover which interactions deepen the experience. We can't wait to see what they create.

Our mission

What we learn alongside the creatives and their audiences will become the foundation for tools and conventions that extend beyond audio. Creators in every medium will find their own uses for responsiveness, memory, adaptation, simulation, and participation.

We believe AI will expand and deepen the forms through which people create, participate, and communicate.
